Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH) opened August 24th 2008, being the replacement for Matsqui-Sumas-Abbotsford General Hospital and was the first new hospital built in BC in the last 30 years. ARH was the largest project to date within the Fraser Valley calculated at 60,000 square metres and 300 beds. ARH was the first hospital in Western Canada to have a Cancer centre integrated from the beginning in their design. This hospital is our citys largerst worksite when it comes to the number of employees. It contains a Cafe and a Starbucks as well as a gift shop. They have volunteers there to help you find where you need to go as well as finding patients for you, and allow pet visitation.
ARH provides 24/7 emergency medicine, surgery, medical imaging, cardiac services, maternity care including an amazing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, pediatric care, dialysis, and of course a full range of Cancer control services.
