Chilliwack Family Resources; There are many Family Resources located in Chilliwack including, but not limited to social services, child protective services, addiction and recovery and counselling. We have outlined some of them below as a quick reference guide.
Many people struggle from day to day and most can find assistance through the places below.
The Salvation Army Community Food Bank
For over 25 years The Salvation Army Community Food Bank has been an active participant in Chilliwack. The Food Bank is a vital need in our community for individuals who are unemployed or underemployed. Over 3,800 people are being assisted through our Food Bank, Soup Kitchen and Shelter every month, 30% of those we assist are children under the age of 18 years. Each of these needy families would have gone hungry without the generous support and kindness of our community.

Community Dinner – Ruth and Naomi’s Mission
A safe house in the inner city of Chilliwack that provides a drop in coffee time, daily Women’s Hour (coffee & crafts), evening meals, clothing, showers, health information, counselling, and spiritual guidance to the homeless as well as anyone in need.
Emergency food hampers are available (once every 5 weeks), although they are not a food bank.
