Brambles Bistro – Sure To Impress

Brambles Bistro
It’s no secret, I love Spring! Especially here in the Fraser Valley. The abundance of vegetation, the mild temperatures and being surrounded by farms, fields, and snow-capped mountains. Although I could wish for a little less rain (can’t we all), the warming weather makes me want to be outside soaking in as much nature as possible.
As I sit here sipping on my Lavender Lemonade I welcome the sunshine on my skin coming through the windows of Brambles Bistro in West Abbotsford.
Nestled in the center of a beautiful luscious family run garden, the scenery adds to the perfect ambiance of a romantic brunch. When you first enter through the doors, the boutique overflows with one-of-a-kind gifts for a special someone or your deserving self. I find it hard to keep my wallet in my purse until after I have my brunch. The environment is cozy, and buzzing with great conversations and an atmosphere for relaxing and reconnecting.
With a season changing menu derived right from the garden to the family kitchen, I feel as if I’m visiting a friend for tea rather than sitting in a restaurant. Mouthwatering west coast fusion options make it hard to decide just on one item, however; the Huevos Rancheros was my absolute favourite. Layered with fresh local yams, corn, black beans and pico de gallo you will feel as if you are eating straight from the garden itself. The soup of the day was full of flavor and had a little kick to it, but warmed me from the inside and if I wasn’t full I would have ordered more.
The conversations bubbled over while laughter rolled from a group of ladies in the corner. Time felt as if it stood still and there was no better way to ring in Spring in the Fraser Valley but to enjoy a nothing-but-simple local brunch in a quaint, cute, little Brambles Bistro.
Take a little quiet time, impress your love, or treat mom out to brunch, the Brambles Bistro will sure to impress. You can find them within Tanglebank Gardens at 29985 Downes Road in West Abbotsford. They are opened Tuesday to Saturday from 9am-4pm (with the kitchen closing at 3pm).
